LogRhythm advocates security intelligence
Vendor urges unified approach to security and not just perimeter defence
LogRhythm, a security intelligence company that unifies next-generation SIEM, log management, network and endpoint monitoring and forensics, and advanced security analytics has said it came to GITEX Technology Week to educate partners and customers to change tactics when it came to securing their networks and IT infrastructure.
The vendor showcased products together with its regional VAD Spectrami. The vendor said the recent rise in data breaches in the Middle East has made organisations to rethink their security strategies and approach to embrace more analytics.
Ross Brewer, vice president and managing director, EMEA at LogRhythm, said there is a big shift in the IT security market today as too much security technology has gone into defence of network perimeter. Brewer said during GITEX, the company was able to highlight the need for change in the way companies protect their networks from threats.
He said LogRhythm has moved from just providing protection solutions to a threats analytics-based approach that includes protection, monitor and response. "At GITEX we meet with all our clients and channel partners as we felt it was a good platform to explain the changes that are happening to them," he said. "We also encouraged our partners to expand their expertise and embrace security intelligence and it's an expanding field that is growing in importance."
Brewer said LogRhythm's aim is to have partners in the Middle East that are able to increase their revenues by offering services in the security intelligence and threat analytics space. "Clients are struggling with what they can't detect and that's a huge opportunity for solution providers," he said.
