Hasan brings more than 15 years of retail channel experience to the new role.

DISTREE Events, the organiser of DISTREE Middle East has appointed Mehdi Hasan as regional manager for the Middle East. Hasan will manage the company's Middle East operations and report directly to Farouk Hemraj, CEO and co-founder of DISTREE Events.

Hasan said: "I am delighted to join DISTREE Events and build on the company's success story in the Middle East. I look forward to engaging with technology and consumer electronics (CE) vendors, distributors and retailers across the region as we continue to evolve DISTREE Middle East to reflect new business models, emerging product categories and the multichannel challenges that the market faces."

Hasan brings more than 15 years of retail channel experience, including more than 10 years with ITE, one of the leading retail distributors in the Middle East. Hasan's career also includes extensive business experience spanning the Middle East and also Asia.

Hemraj remarked that: "We are delighted to welcome Mehdi to the DISTREE team. He has extensive experience with the retail channel in the Middle East and brings a unique set of skills that will allow us to further develop our operations in the region."
