Eaton appoints new head of channels
Karim Refas takes over from Hany Maurice, who has left the UPS and power management solutions vendor
UPS and power management solutions vendor Eaton, has announced the appointment of Karim Refas to the position of head of Channels, Middle East, Electrical Sector.
In his new position, Refas will be responsible for the development of Eaton's channel businesses across the Middle East region.
Frank Ackland, general manager, Middle East, said: "Having Karim on-board with us here in the Middle East is an excellent boost for our dedication to our channel partners and the further engagement we look to have with them in 2016. Having worked in various roles in Eaton over the past 11 years, he brings a wealth of experience that we value."
Before taking up this position, Karim held various roles at the company and his recent role was channel head, EMEA at Eaton, where he oversaw the delivery of Eaton's Power Management solutions for data centres to hundreds of ICT distributors and an extensive channel partner base in the region.
Refas added: "The Middle East is an exciting region to be working in with Eaton, and the rate at which the company is growing has been significant over recent years. After working with Eaton in Europe for 11 years, I look forward to bringing this experience to the team and our various partners in order to ensure the right support is in place as we move to increase Eaton's strength in the channels."
Karim holds a masters degree in Management and Marketing from the SKEMA Graduate School of Management in Euralille, France.
