Apple poised for UAE grand entrance
Mark your calendar: Apple’s first UAE stores in the Middle East open in Dubai's Mall of the Emirates (pictured) and Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi on 29 October.

Apple will enter the UAE market with a direct brick-and-mortar presence next week, as the US iPhone maker opens two stores in the Gulf country on 29 October.

The stores, one in Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi, and the other in Dubai's Mall of the Emirates, will be the first physical point-of-presence outlets for Apple in the Middle East.

Apple will stage a press opening on 27 October, and ITP.net will be attending the Dubai event, so ITP.net readers will get a sneak peek at what is expected to be the world's largest Apple Store to date.

Mall of the Emirates recently relocated its cinema and the Apple Store was widely expected to be housed in the vacated space. But an advertising board, located on the top floor of the mall, near its central dome, indicates the store will be located there.
