Major Taiwan ICT firms are utilising the GITEX Technology Week 2015 platform for their global products rollout.
Representatives from ASUS, QNAP, EnGenius, HiTi and PLANET unveiled their latest products during the press conference at GITEX 2015 along with several other industry leaders such as Draytek, HTC and Zyxel.
“UAE remains a hotspot for Taiwanese ICT brands and this show is a highly influential platform for us,” says Shyh Perng Chang, director of Taiwan Trade Centre Dubai. “We have been acknowledged as strong original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and original design manufacturers (ODMs). However, Taiwan is now building on that foundation to boost innovation, design and branding. In this endeavour, Taiwan aims to tap a larger share of the value chain and strengthen its competitiveness worldwide,” Chang added.
According to the Taiwan Computer Association, the exports of electronics and ICT products grew 14.56% annually to AED415 billion in 2014.
Taiwan aims to intensify its partnership with Middle East’s ICT sector through this platform, says Taiwan Trade Centre Dubai in a statement. Taiwan aims at leverage on the theme of this year’s GITEX event - ‘The Internet Future of Everything’, to endorse these firms who have created global brands based out of Taiwan.
HiTi is displaying printers including wireless, compact and high volume printers. PLANET is presenting Smart Cloud Home Automation equipment with VoIP solution and Long Reach PoE / PoC Solution. QNAP will be focusing on their flagship Network Attached Storage and Network Video Recorder products. EnGenius will be showcasing state of the art Access Point devices, Switches and Wireless Gateways at the event.
These Taiwanese brands at GITEX have all received the Taiwan Excellence Award. This award is the highest accolade awarded to Taiwanese products that encapsulate innovation and value. The Taiwan Excellence Award seeks to maintain the highest standards which Taiwanese products must meet to maintain their competitive edge in the global markets.
