FireEye and F5 Networks partner for security solutions
Integrated solutions will combine application delivery and advanced threat protection
FireEye and F5 Networks have formed a global partnership which the two companies say will help to address evolving enterprise security threats.
The pair will develop solutions which integrate application delivery infrastructure from F5 and advanced threat protection from FireEye Network Security. The agreement also includes a unified approach to worldwide sales, deployment and support, thereby helping to ensure the best possible end-to-end experience for customers.

The solutions from F5 and FireEye will integrate application delivery technologies with advanced threat management platforms to accelerate application deployment, performance, and security. The integrated solutions are intended to offer comprehensive security including network segmentation and policy management, protocol conformance, DDoS mitigation, SSL inspection, advanced threat protection, intrusion prevention, threat intelligence, forensics, and analytics.
The solutions will also offer performance, scale and high availability in heavy network traffic environments by using the health monitoring and load-balancing capabilities of the BIG-IP platform; and will also deliver integrated security architecture that drives advanced content security by enabling improved visibility into the growing stream of encrypted traffic.
