UPS selects Epicor ERP 10 to automate back-office
The Epicor solution will enable UPS' management to focus on growth, says Kanaran.

Industrial piping supplier United Piping Solutions (UPS) has selected Epicor ERP 10 to manage and automate its back-office operations in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, China and South Korea.

The Dubai-based company is a distributor of piping products and services for the energy, chemical, petrochemical, shipbuilding and mechanical industries. The company said it selected Epicor's ERP solution for its ability to support process control and integrate fully with its existing back office operations. Epicor ERP will help to effectively manage UPS' various administrative activities and operational tasks needed for complex project supply management.

Local Epicor gold partner, RiSOLVE Technologies LLC, will provide support for the integration and implementation of the next-generation system.

Saifuddin Mohammed, managing director for UPS, commented: "The fully integrated solution will allow us to have better control over our various business processes, thus ensuring that our mechanisms comply with the highest global piping industry standards. Our partnership with Epicor demonstrates our consistent adherence to quality and excellence in every aspect of our operations. We look forward to working closely with the dedicated team from Epicor and RiSOLVE to ensure a smooth and efficient deployment of Epicor ERP."

Anish Kanaran, channel director for Epicor in the Middle East, India and Africa added: "UPS already has an excellent reputation for providing high-quality bulk piping materials and valves for complex energy projects. By working with Epicor, the company will benefit from flexible, fast and scalable software. Through automating back-office operations, Epicor will liberate the UPS team to think about its business from an innovative and fresh perspective. We expect to see UPS concentrating on strategic growth, ultimately gaining advantage in the complex GCC, European and Asian markets."
