Shah says the company is delighted to have partnered with Intel as an Approved Supplier partner.

Chip maker Intel has appointed Mitsumi Distribution as an Intel Approved Supplier for Africa.

The engagement is part of Intel's market development strategy to expand its channel reach and offer channel benefits to its Intel Technology Provider Programme (ITP) members.

According to the vendor, the partnership will enable Mitsumi to increase its focus on Intel's complete range of products via the active promotion of Intel content within devices including desktops, all-in-ones, notebooks, 2-in-1s and tablets in East and West Africa.

Intel said it will be able to utilise Mitsumi's wide channel coverage as part of its strategy to develop the African market and increase Intel technology adoption in the region.

Adib Rajji, distribution business manager, Intel Corporation said: "We are glad to partner with Mitsumi as an Intel Approved Supplier. Mitsumi is known for reliable, expert service as a supplier of Intel technology-based solutions. The ITP programme is great benefit to our channel partners, and our relationship with Mitsumi in the MEA region will strengthen this value."

Mitesh Shah, managing director, Mitsumi Distribution added that: "Mitsumi is proud to tie-up with Intel as their Approved Supplier for Africa. With our strong channel presence, we are confident that we can help Intel extend and strengthen its reach to a wider spectrum of resellers based there. This partnership will give us privileged access to Intel's resources, training and extended support. Building on this we look forward to a long-term association with Intel."

Mitsumi operates in 10 African countries across the continent.
