In terms of the agreement, Aptec supply channel partners with Emerson's SMB single phase UPS solutions in the UAE, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar. In addition, Aptec will focus on promoting and distributing Emerson products through its vast reseller network.
Martin Meitza, senior business unit manager, Aptec, said: "Adding Emerson into our portfolio allows us to enhance the ability of our partners to procure full solutions from one place. As we continue to focus on the SMB space, we will launch UPS solutions up to 10kVA and Rack PDU with attractive sales bundles for cross vendor converged data centre, networking and SMB tailored solutions."
Pierre Havenga, managing director, Emerson Network Power, Middle East and Africa, explained that the channel has been important and that's why the company has been growing its business strongly over the past decade because of partners.
"We already have an established relationship with Ingram Micro across Europe and I am delighted to expand Emerson Network Power's range within the company to the Gulf. It is an important step in the continued implementation of our channel strategy as we align all our distributors to have access to our full solutions portfolio," Havenga added. "We see this as being critical to achieving growth objectives. To support this partnership, Ingram Micro is investing into the Emerson business by appointing a dedicated Emerson Network Power business development manager."
