Gulftainer rolls out new network infrastructure
Gulftainer has deployed a new network at its UAE headquarters and now plans to roll out Cisco solutions to its facilities worldwide.

Port management and logistics company, Gulftainer, has deployed a new network for its UAE headquarters to improve application and network performance.

The new network is based on Cisco switching and routing solutions, with support services, and is intended to provide maximum uptime, high redundancy, high throughput, rapid deployment, enhanced access, and automated operations.

The company said that the new network would vastly improve Gulftainer's response rates to customers in terms of system availability and productivity thereby facilitating improved customer satisfaction and enabling business growth.

Gulftainer plans to roll out the network solutions to other branches around the world in future.

Vinay Sharma, group IT manager, Gulftainer commented: "As a growing and expanding port management and logistics company with an ever increasing regional as well as global customer base, Gulftainer needed to be equipped with the latest state-of-the-art technology solutions. This is where Cisco's end-to-end technology solutions proved an ideal choice for our network upgrade, as they enable us to always keep us ahead of the game in an increasingly competitive environment."

Osama Zakaria Eissa, area sales manager for Cisco UAE added:  "Amid the ongoing convergence of technologies for the next-generation Internet, Cisco sees a unique opportunity to combine the latest technology innovations and end-to-end solutions to enable customers like Gulftainer to more efficiently and quickly capture market opportunities in entirely new ways while both growing their businesses and delivering new network experiences to their customers. Cisco has provided networking expertise for years and we are delighted to be working with Gulftainer in taking a strategic approach to achieving a secure network environment. We look forward to rolling out our solutions to their premises around the globe over the coming months and year."
