Equinix to highlight e-commerce, banking expertise at trade shows
Company can provide companies with 99.999% uptime while reducing latency and costs.
Equinix, the global interconnection and data centre Company, has announced its participation in two of the biggest shows dedicated to the e-commerce and retail banking taking place in Dubai this week.
At the Ecommerce Show Middle East 2015 taking place on 12th and 13th May, Equinix will showcase its e-commerce offering through its Performance Hub solutions while also demonstrate how online retailers can scale quickly, avoid downtime, and achieve better site performance on Platform Equinix.
"In the Middle East, business-to-consumer e-commerce sales are estimated to reach $15 billion by end of 2015. Research shows that 40 per cent of consumers will not wait more than three seconds for a page to load before leaving a website, and this expectation is only increasing. To highlight more opportunities in the ecommerce sector of the region, Equinix will also host an e-Commerce Open Day open for ecommerce companies and payment platforms at its Dubai Data Centre on 28th May.
Equinix will also participate in Future Bank Middle East conference that is taking place on 12th May by hosting a seminar titled ‘Interconnection: the key to building an everyday bank'. Kareem Sobhy, Senior Account Manager, Equinix will share his expert insights into how interconnectivity between market-data providers, networks and technology services are imperative to the success of banks.
Equinix is exhibiting at Ecommerce Show Middle East 2015 at stand no. X 37 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre on 12th and 13th May. The Equinix seminar on 'Interconnection: The key to building an everyday bank' will take place on 12th May at 11.30 am at Banking Technology Seminar Theatre at the Cards & Payments Middle East 2015 also being held at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre.
