Xerox gets new Middle East GM
Chris Govier to help vendor push smart technology solutions in the region
Printing and imaging solutions major, Xerox has appointed Chris Govier as general manager for its Middle East operations.
In the new role, Govier is responsible for driving Xerox's vision and supporting the company's business direction in the Middle East. In addition, the company stated that Govier will help Xerox to provide innovative and smart technology solutions to regional partners.
"This is evident in our approach to managed print services and the next generation of offerings, which we are currently training our partners across the Middle East to deliver on. I look forward to developing and implementing Xerox's strategy and lead the company towards the next phase of growth in this region."
Govier joined Xerox in 1993 and has held several senior roles within the organisation including head of Graphic Communications for DMO, several key positions in MEA and most recently, as the general manager for Central Eastern Europe Distributor Group (CDG), where he was instrumental in shaping the company and delivering a robust and consistent business performance.
"Our main goals for 2015 include training, supporting and ensuring partners and their customers are treated with dignity and respect. A business founded on these principles will grow and prosper and knowing the caliber of everyone concerned means that the bond will strengthen as time goes on," Govier explained.
