Samsung announces expansion of MultiXpress series
South Korean company adds models to multi-function printer portfolio
Samsung Electronics has extended its Smart MultiXpress line of Android-powered printers with solutions for A3 and A4 printing.
The multi-function printer models (MFP's) are designed to be independent of PCs and scalable for a number of business environments, Samsung said in a statement.
The Smart MultiXpress series MFPs feature Samsung's Smart UX Center, a touch-based system that powers Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
According to Samsung, the series is considered "the industry's first application of haptic technology", an approach that recreates a sense of touch with vibrations.
"Samsung develops printer solutions that fit seamlessly into the IT and office ecosystem," said Khaled Kamel, director, Enterprise Business, Samsung Gulf Electronics.
"By applying mobile technology from our popular Galaxy series of smartphones, we make printers that are easier to use and perfectly adaptable to every evolving business need. Our new additions to the MultiXpress line are not just intuitive and user-friendly, but they are built to create better, smarter and faster workflow for our customers."
The MultiXpress X4300 and K4350, the latest in the A3 printers range, are designed for small to medium businesses. The Dual Scan Document Feeder (DSDF) is built to enhance high-speed scanning and prevent paper jams. They carry a 1GHz dual CPU processor, 4G memory, 300GB HDD and work with a number of devices in a BYOD environment.
The MultiXpress M4370 LX and M5370 LX are A4 printers with 10.1-inch colour LCD touchscreens that allow users to search for, preview and print content from Web browsers, such as emails, maps and images, without connecting to a PC or server.
