HTC announces its latest offering in the HTC One Family
HTC has today unveiled the HTC One M9, the newest flagship in the HTC One family at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Featuring a 20MP camera with sapphire cover lens, the 5-inch smartphone runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with HTC Sense and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core CPU.
"HTC has built its reputation on challenging expectations in the mobile industry," said Cher Wang, chairwoman, HTC. "The HTC One M9 accomplishes this once again with stunning elegance and design, combined with smart features that help bring your world to life, connecting you in a deeper way to the things you consider most important. So much more than just a phone, the HTC One M9 is an extension of who you are".
The M9 also boasts an UltraPixel front-facing camera and 4K resolution for shooting video and features. It includes HTC's EYE Experience software which has new editing effects including shapes, prismatic, elements and Bokeh and the Zoe app, which automatically edits pictures, putting them to the user's choice of music and letting friends remix the collection with their own shots.
The new offering also includes HTC BoomSound, the HTC One family's dual front-facing speakers, which are now combined with 5.1 channel Dolby Surround sound simulation and HTC Connect which makes the phone's screen connect to compatible TVs or external speakers.
