IDC Executive Programs to offer tailored, research-driven CIO service
IDC has announced the launch of its in depth research and advisory service offering for CIOs, the IT Executive Programs, in the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (META) region.
The IT Executive Programs are intended to provide a tailored, indepth service which helps CIOs to make more effective business decisions. IDC's IT Executive Programs offer expert guidance in the areas of IT strategy and innovation, business and enterprise architecture, application provisioning, vendor and sourcing management, IT talent management, infrastructure and cloud services, big data and analytics, mobility, IT security, and customer experience.
The analyst company said that the IT Executive Programs are driven by the idea that for CIOs to be perceived as true partners in innovation, they must develop a deep understanding of how new ideas are developed and promoted within other lines of business across their organisations. To this end, the program has been tailored specifically to help enterprises across the region mitigate risks, maximize the effectiveness of their IT investments, identify new opportunities, and bring forth solutions that are aligned with overarching business objectives.
IDC will be hosting a series of workshops on February 24th in the lead up to the Middle East CIO Summit 2015, which is set to take place at Atlantis, The Palm on February 25-26th.
The workshops will include sessions on DevOps; vendor and sourcing management; enterprise architecture; enterprise IT transformation; IT talent management and benchmarking.
Jyoti Lalchandani, vice president and managing director, IDC META commented: "Designed with the needs of IT leaders, enterprise architects, and line-of-business heads in mind, our IT Executive Programs comprise a unique family of bespoke research and advisory options and offer unprecedented peer group access to IDC's exclusive Technology Advisory Council. This year's CIO Summit is running under the theme of 'IT Meets Business', a concept that is very much reflected in the makeup of the event's agenda. And while the Summit has long attracted the region's foremost technology leaders, this latest installment will host a much more diverse range of corporate strategists, with representatives in attendance from the fields of marketing, finance, accounting, operations, and HR, to name just a few."
