Sony launches ‘world’s slimmest’ 1TB HDD

Sony Middle East and Africa this week announced the availability of its 1TB HD-S1A portable hard drive.

The device is available in black and silver variants and Sony claims it "snugly fits into a pocket or laptop sleeve". It weighs 155g is 8.7mm at its thinnest point.

The external HDD also comes with a number of data protection tools, such as Password Protection Manager and Backup Manager.

The software also allows for the selective back up of modified or added data. The Data Transfer Accelerator is designed for faster data transfer from the PC via the USB 3.0 cable.
