Panasonic to unveil 360-degree 4K security camera at Intersec
Company claims ‘increased level of detail over much wider area’
Panasonic Marketing Middle East and Africa has announced its participation at Intersec 2015, the region's largest trade show for the security industry, which will take place from 18 to 20 January at Dubai World Trade Centre.
The company cited reports claiming global demand for security equipment is estimated to grow 7% annually to reach $117bn by 2016. According to Messe Frankfurt, by the end of 2014, government spending on security products across the Gulf region will reach $6.4bn.
Panasonic will demonstrate a range of solutions for verticals including public premises, retail and mall facilities, banks, airports, buildings, the transportation industry, and the energy and education sectors. The company will also unveil its 4K 360-degree security camera at the show. Aimed at sectors such as banking, retail and logistics, the camera is designed to capture "an increased level of detail over a much wider area than is achievable with traditional security cameras", leading to greater coverage with fewer cameras.
"Panasonic is a trusted world leader in security solutions, with technological breakthroughs that span the last 50 years," said Shinichi Wakita, managing director, Panasonic Marketing Middle East and Africa (PMMAF).
"Keeping with our legacy of innovation, we engineer purpose-built technology that offers unmatched quality, image clarity and the industry's lowest total cost of ownership. There is a growth in demand for surveillance technology in the region as local governments are strongly committed to providing residents and industries with security and protection at all times."
Additionally, Panasonic will highlight its network cameras, face-search technology, control room security products, fire alarm systems, video intercoms, home security products and its Arbitrator HD/wearable cameras.
Panasonic will exhibit from Stand S1-112, Saeed Hall 1.
