Acer today launched the Aspire Switch 12 multi-mode PC, which is aimed at capturing a range of consumers with different requirement sets.

The machine comes with a kickstand design and a magnetic, latch-free detachable keyboard. The Switch 12 can transition between notebook, tablet, display, tent and desktop mode.

"Today's users are looking for more than a device; they seek an experience," said Laura Lombarte, product manager, Mobility, Acer Middle East. "Whether it's for work, watching the latest movies, or video-chatting with friends and family, consumers want to be able to switch between these modes on their notebooks as quickly as they do in their minds, which is where Acer's Switch 12 comes in."

Through the five modes, Acer hopes users can find a configuration for "just about any need". The Aspire Switch 12's detachable keyboard can function connected or wirelessly and provides full-sized typing along with a pointing stick and 10-point touch controls.

The machine comes with a 12.5-inch Full HD display built with Corning Gorilla Glass and treated with an anti-fingerprint coating.

Acer's Aspire Switch 12 is available in the UAE starting from AED2,399.
