The Acer Iconia Talk S is the vendor’s first to support 4G LTE connectivity.

Acer this week added to its Iconia tablet family, as it launched the Iconia Talk S, Acer's first to support 4G LTE connectivity.

The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor and, with a 7-inch HD IPS  panel display, the Talk S finds itself in the "mini" category. It also comes with built-in Zero Air Gap technology, anti-fingerprint coating, voice-call capability and microSD support of up to 128GB.

The device weighs 270g, 13% lighter than the iPad mini. It also comes with dual-SIM slot, allowing simultaneous access to different networks.

LTE will offer theoretical speeds of up to 150 Mbps in download and 50 Mbps in upload, depending on carrier.

Acer claims the battery secures up to 300 hours of standby time. 3G connectivity is also available on the Iconia Talk S.
