UAE govt delegation visits Huawei’s China HQ

A delegation from the UAE Ministry of Economy, several other government authorities, and representatives from the UAE's trading sector have visited the Shenzhen, China headquarters of ICT solutions company Huawei.

The visit was organised by the UAE Ministry of Economy and headed by Juma Mohammed Al Kait, assistant undersecretary for Foreign Trade Affairs, UAE Ministry of Economy.

David Wang, president, Huawei Global Government Affairs Department, received the UAE delegation and escorted them in a tour of the headquarters' exhibition hall.

"I have shared with Huawei, information on the UAE economy and investment climate, so that the firm has more of a role to play in policies that support diversifying the UAE economy through its specialisation," said Al Kait.

"Today's ICT is based on smart services, and by going through the profile of Huawei it [is clear] that this firm is smart in all senses. I also found that Huawei does not stop at... the business edge, but [shares] corporate social responsibilities wherever the company is located. This is admirable and I thank Huawei for keeping this up."
