Dubai-based mobile device vendor Touchmate has announced it has entered the wearbles market with the launch of three new smart watch models.

The company says the entry into the wearables segment is a natural progression for Touchmate as the company continues to innovate in the mobile solutions space.

The Touchmate smart watches will start from AED199 for the entry-level and AED399 for the top range range.

The company used GITEX Technology Week to introduce and promote the new range of smart watches,  Windows tablets and smartphones.

Vasant Menghani, founder and CEO, Touchmate said the company has decided to venture into the smart watch segment as part of its broader strategy to offer the market innovative lifestyle mobility products.

Menghani said the company participated at GITEX to promote its new smart watch range, Windows tablets and smartphones. "We for the first time exhibited our smart watch range at the show. We are hoping to that the interactions we had with channel partners and customers will translate into leads especially for our partners in Africa, who were so impressed with our product range," he said.

Menghani said GITEX gave the company the perfect platform to reach out to partners and their customers. "We are eager to get feedback from them on the new smart watches and we are hoping to build a solid pipeline of business for the rest of this quarter and into 2015," he said.
