Chinese firm reveals plan to open Dubai office
FiberHome, a Chinese provider of ICT products including access and transport systems, revealed plans to open an office in Dubai during GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK 2014.
The company, which carries out R&D, manufacturing and services in fibre-optic communications, data networking, wireless communications, and intelligent applications, plans to open its Dubai office by the end of 2014, according to Victor Cheng, marketing director for the Middle East, FiberHome.
“We are looking for new business in Middle East,” says Victor Cheng, marketing director for the Middle East. “We are looking to open our first office in Dubai later this year. We also have some other offices in the Middle East, in Saudi Arabia and Iran. Cheng says that the company hopes to have about 20 people in the Dubai office and sees big potential for growth because of the number of customers it has in the Gulf.
“From this year we will start procedures here and then step-by-step increase our business,” Cheng adds.
At GITEX, the company is keen to demonstrate its products to customers and agents. Among the products on display at GITEX is a 25.6 terrabit backbone unit.
