Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC), a subsidiary unit of Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority (ADWEA), is showcasing its new systems and teaching visitors about the latest technologies it is using at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK.
ADDC has recently added a new system to the contact centre called “HERMES”, which enables it to reduce the number of calls received by adding other channels such as e-mail and social media. ADDC receives an average of 150,000 calls per month, but with HERMES it offers customers the option to chat with ADDC staff on Facebook and Twitter, email or leave a voicemail which should aim to reduce waiting time for customers. Saood Al Jheibi, Customer Service Representative, ADDC says: “We want to use GITEX to tell people about our new system and also learn from others and see what systems and technologies they are using. We are also going to launch a new application for ADDC which will mean customers can request for clearance and open or close an account via the app, again in an aim to reduce the number of calls.” The new channels on the system will all be launched by the end of this year and the app will be available at the beginning of 2015. ADDC is also showcasing its water network management system, which collects the information related to the water network and combines it to allow the management to take the correct and shortest action.
Mohamed Rashed Al- Ameri, IT Department Manager, says: “At GITEX our aim is to deliver the message to the customer that we are caring about the customer itself as well as the environment.”
