UAE’s TRA out in force at GITEX 2014
ICT regulator showcases latest plans for sector
The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) is exhibiting alongside several of its subsidiary departments, showcasing the latest plans and programs to advance the nation’s digital government services and telecommunications environment. “The United Arab Emirates has truly cemented its place among the most technically advanced nations in the world,” said H.E. Mohamed Al Qamzi, Chairman of TRA.
“Through a concentrated national plan implemented by our visionary leadership, the UAE ICT sector transformed into a key engine for the components of growth, development and progress in the knowledge economy and the information society. Gitex is an international platform of considerable scale in the sector and as such, the TRA is delighted to announce its participation at the event which attracts people the world over, interested in the information and communications technology sector.”
The official TRA stand includes representation of the following subsidiary departments: Type Approval, Spectrum, The Computer Emergency Response Team (aeCERT), The ICT Fund as well as representatives from the .ae Domain Administration (.aeDA) and the UAE mGovernment Initiative.
