HH Sheikh Hamdan opens GITEX
Sheikh Hamdan formally opens the 34th edition of the region's premier technology trade show
HIS HIGHNESS Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, formally opened the thirty-fourth GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK yesterday, as the region’s leading ICT event got underway at Dubai World Trade Centre.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was accompanied on the opening tour of GITEX Technology Week by His Excellency Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General, Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing and CEO, DWTC, as well as a number of leading dignitaries.
This year’s GITEX will bring together over 100,000 ICT professionals from 150 countries, with 3,700 exhibiting companies from 61 countries.

GITEX is focusing on four knowledge themes Smart, Cloud, Big Data and Mobility, with conferences, forums and industry briefings providing many opportunities for knowledge sharing. This year’s event also includes a virtual smart tour.
