Orange Business Services is using GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK to share insights on the ways that digital transformation is driving developments in Smart Cities.

At its stand on the French Pavilion in Hall 4, a local team of Orange experts is available to discuss and share five ways that the Internet of Things (IoT), or machine-to-machine (M2M) technology, can improve everyday life in cities.

“The Internet of Things and M2M will play a pivotal role in the digitalisation of cities and Orange has built unique experience and capabilities in this Smart Cities area, working in collaboration and joint ventures with partners such as utility specialists,” says Spyros Salpeas, Orange’s Head of Global Services for the MENA region.

“Smart City planners need to approach their developments holistically to ensure interoperability,” he adds.
