Bitdefender, a security vendor specialising in virtualised, physical, mobile and cloud environments, is showcasing its latest range of products at this year’s GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK.

This will be the third year that Bitdefender will be attending GITEX 2014 and the star of its presence this time round is the company’s flagship enterprise product, GravityZone.

Bitdefender describes GravityZone as a business-agile security solution for medium to large organisations. The product leverages anti-malware technologies in a centralised security management platform for physical, virtualised and mobile endpoints.

“We are bringing some impressive technology to display,” says Khalid Muasher, business development manager for the Middle East at Bitdefender. “The Middle East offers tremendous opportunity and we are looking forward to meeting other globally influential players in the information and communication technology sector.”

The company will also use GITEX to tout its latest virtualisation and cloud technologies, it stated ahead of the exhibition.

The vendor’s products have been  picking up various awards throughout the year.
Its technology this year won the Gold Award for Proactive Malware Protection from independent analysts at AV Comparatives.

Bitdefender also picked up the award for Best Antivirus of 2014 from PC Mag, as well as Best Protection and Best Performance by AV-TEST.
