The Dubai Health Authority will launch its new "Dubai Doctors" app at GITEX technology week 2014.

The app allows users to search for a doctor or a health facility and have complete access to information about all public and private hospitals in Dubai, DHA primary health centres and DHA medical fitness centres.

Amani Al Jassmi, director of information technology at the DHA, said: "The 'Dubai Doctors' app is a service under the umbrella of DHA's smart health services portfolio. The app will benefit both residents and visitors interested in information about health facilities and professionals available in Dubai."

"A user searching for a dentist around his or her residence, will get a detailed list of professionals and facilities either as a list or map view, as per the user's preference.

"The user can also like or unlike the doctor or facility after seeking their service and this feature has been built in to rope in community feedback of health services in Dubai."

Al Jassmi added the app will be available on multiple platforms including iOS, Android, Windows and Blackberry.

In addition to this app, the DHA will also launch a patient-centric app, known as Sehhaty, at GITEX 2014.
