Avira, a global antivirus security expert, has signed a distribution agreement with Emt Distribution, in a move that will see the vendor expand its channel base across Middle East and North Africa.

Under the accord, Emt will supply the regional channel with Avira's security offerings and help the company to grow its presence and visibility in the region.

"The Middle East is one of the key regions for us and we are keen on expanding our reach here. We are glad to partner with Emt Distribution, a specialist security distributor, which has a region-wide channel presence and much desired skills," said Gabriela Mechea, sales director, Emergent Markets at Avira. "With this partnership, we expect to roll out our partner programme much more effectively and enable our channel partners with full programme benefits, immediate access to products and tools, and excellent margins from the moment they sign up."

Mechea added the the company selected Emt Distribution because it is one of the very few value-added distribution houses in the region with an experienced team of product specialists, pre-and post-sales professionals, qualified technical staff armed with leading industry trainings and certifications.
