A10 Networks to bring Thunder TPS to GITEX 2014

DDoS mitigation solution to get pride of place at tech show

A10 Networks to bring Thunder TPS to GITEX 2014
Ogden: Today… enterprises require an environment that is highly available and secure.

Application networking specialist A10 Networks today announced it will demonstrate its latest offerings in distributed denial of service (DDoS) threat protection systems and high-performance, next-generation application delivery controllers (ADCs) at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK.

Showcasing its Thunder TPS product line, the company will be focusing on how to protect enterprise networks from "escalating" DDoS attacks and mitigate the effects of downtime resulting from elusive attacks.

Also on display will be the company's next-generation A10 Thunder ADC product line aimed at delivering "highly available, accelerated and secure" applications.

"Today... enterprises require an environment that is highly available and secure, as the Internet is the main way to channel an organisation's services to its customers," said Glen Ogden, regional sales director for the Middle East region at A10 Networks.

"Over the last few years, DDoS attacks have grown dramatically in frequency, size and complexity. While Middle East organisations have existing security strategies in place that mitigate a range of security threats, they are not sufficient to address new breeds of DDoS attacks that leverage large distributed "botnet" networks of "zombie" machines to simultaneously launch attacks using compliant protocols that are very difficult to detect and even harder to mitigate. It is clear that additional solutions are needed to complement existing security infrastructure in a layered defence model.

"At GITEX we are eager to demo Thunder TPS that provides sophisticated, high-performance features to mitigate the largest and most complex DDoS attacks while optimising rack space and power consumption, ensuring that data centre resources are used efficiently and effectively. We would also like to build on the success we have been experiencing in the region with the A10 Thunder ADCs. Whether it's application delivery, virtualisation, cloud enablement, security or IPV6 migration, A10 Thunder ADCs are the next evolution in application networking."

A10 Networks can be found in Hall 1, Stand C1/16.
