Snap up a diamond-encrusted iPhone 6… for a mere $48.5m
Bling-merchant Falcon reveals bargains ahead of iLaunch
As if Apple's iPhone 6 will not be expensive enough, US-based luxury mobile specialist Falcon is taking pre-orders for the handset with a lot of bling added, including one alternate studded with a vivid pink diamond, which will set you back $48.5m.
Falcon's website has a number of varieties on offer, starting at $1.65m for a black diamond model. Other gems include white diamond at $2.25m; blue sapphire, emerald or ruby at $4.75m; blue diamond at $32.5m; and orange diamond at $42.5m. Each gem model comes with a choice of chassis, from 24K gold, platinum or rose gold, which also applies to the ear pod accessories, which will cost a mere $300,000.
All models incorporate the promised 5.5-inch display model Apple is expected to launch today as a foil to Samsung's phablet ranges.
Apple is also expected to unveil a 4.7-inch handset and the fabled iWatch, which will propel the Cupertino-based firm into the wearables dogfight.
