The GCC e-Government portal will provide services to GCC citizens travelling across the GCC.

The planned ‘All GCC Government Portal' will be ready for launch by early 2015, according to the CEO of the Bahrain e-Government Authority (EGA).

Mohammed Ali Al-Qaed told Al-Ayam newspaper that the portal is expected to launch early next year.

The All GCC portal is intended to provide services for GCC citizens travelling within the six country bloc. The portal will include official data from GCC-member countries in addition to the e-Government's objectives and strategy.

Al-Qaed reportedly said that the UAE has been tasked with compiling a visualisation of the services needed by GCC citizens.

The EGA CEO added that there were eight Gulf initiatives as part of GCC strategy and that the All GCC e-Government Portal is one of them which will contribute to boosting the provision of optimum services to Gulf nationals everywhere in the GCC countries.
