TVTC teachers graduate from Huawei training programme
Knowledge-transfer partnership helps to drive Saudisation by building advanced technical skills of training professionals
ICT solutions provider, Huawei and the Technical and Vocation Training Corporation (TVTC), have celebrated the conclusion of an international knowledge-transfer program held for 20 teachers from the TVTC.
The graduation ceremony, which marked the conclusion of the two-week program, was held at Huawei's global headquarters in Shenzhen, China and comes as part of the long-term strategic partnership between TVTC, an organisation overseeing all vocational and technical training programs within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Huawei, to empower young Saudi students looking to pursue a career in the region's growing IT sector.
"As the Kingdom moves closer to developing a true knowledge-based economy, Huawei is dedicated to strengthening local knowledge-transfer programs with our partners across KSA, supporting institutions like TVTC to equip aspiring professionals with the right skills to build successful careers," said Zhangpeng, vice president of public affairs and communications at Huawei.
The program, which was was hosted by Huawei involved a diversity of Huawei professors and research experts working with the TVTC teachers to explore the latest innovations in telecommunication, IT, and unified communication technologies.
"Developing global education initiatives in partnership with leading companies like Huawei has been a key focus for TVTC as we look to ultimately offer students in Saudi Arabia access to the very best global tools and resources to advance their future careers," said Fahad Al Tuwaijry, TVTC deputy governor.
