The JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai today announced the launch of a mobile check-in service for guests.

Marriott Mobile Check-In and Check-Out service will allow visitors to download a mobile app and have their room key waiting for them on arrival at the hotel.

The app also allows Marriott Rewards members to receive push notifications on Apple iPhones or Android devices after 4pm of the day before their arrival alerting them they can check in. They also receive an automatic notification when their room is ready.

"As payment information is stored within members profiles, guests simply walk up to the mobile check-in desk where their pre-programmed key card will be waiting for them," the hotel said in a statement. "At the end of their stays, guests receive another notification alerting them mobile checkout is available. Upon completion, guests will then be prompted to provide an email address where their bill will be sent, allowing them to confidently bypass the front desk."

"As a leading business hotel with a huge focus on the meetings incentives conferences and events sector [MICE], the majority of our guests are international travellers with demanding schedules therefore we are always looking for ways to make their lives easier," said Bill Keffer, general manager, JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai.

"The introduction of the mobile check-in service allows visitors to save time and access their hotel room quicker than ever before. It also simplifies the process for our international guests as the application is available in English, French, Spanish, German and Mandarin, reducing the chance of any language barrier."

Guest rooms at the JW Marriott Marquis are equipped with LCD TVs, iPod stations, Wi-Fi and a master room-control tablet.  Keffer also said the hotel was launching upgraded Wi-Fi access in conjunction with mobile check-in.

"A Wi-Fi speed of 300 Mbps... will allow our guests to download, stream and host video conferences online using super-speed connections - it is these types of technological advancements which help us to execute a seamless guest experience," he said.
