Specialist Cisco solutions distributor to operate under the Aptec brand

Track Distribution Middle East re-branded
Baghdadi says the re-branding of Track Distribution will bring more value to resellers.

Ingram Micro's Aptec has announced that its sister company, Track Distribution Middle East (TDME) will now operate under the Aptec brand.

The move combines TDME's existing portfolio of Cisco, Oracle and Belkin products in the Gulf with Aptec's extensive range of solutions as part of the company's go-to-market strategy for technology solutions.

Dr Ali Baghdadi, president, Technology Solutions, META region, at Aptec, commented: "Today we are re-branding Track Distribution with the only objective to bring more value to our resellers because as one brand, Aptec we will be able to serve our partners better. As one of the biggest VADs in this region, Aptec is known in the market for its unique go-to-market strategy and value added services which include advanced logistics services, technical support and consulting, financial support to partners in form of credit and a full range of marketing services."

Bahaa Salah, managing director at Aptec, Gulf and near East region, added: "Track Distribution was always part of Aptec but sometimes it was confusing to the channel because we were positioning these two brands separately. We want to bring clarity to the market and I emphasise that the integration into Aptec will be only beneficial to our resellers."

Martin Meitza, senior business unit Manager, Aptec added: "With the integration of Track Distribution under the Aptec brand, we will drive simplification and increased service levels for our resellers. Our strategy is to offer best-in- class services locally, while utilising Ingram Micro's global capacities and capabilities to jointly grow with our resellers and vendors."

The new Aptec branding provides significant benefits for legacy Aptec and TDME customer and resellers as they will now have access to a wider product portfolio, the company said in a statement.
