Mobile devices maker takes aim at SMB and education sector with new tablet
Mobile devices manufacturer Prestigio has launched its second generation Windows tablet - the MultiPad Visconte 2.
The latest tablet is the successor to the MultiPad Visconte and has a more powerful processor, a rear camera and a longer battery life.
"Last year together with Intel and Microsoft we developed a successful Prestigio MultiPad Visconte tablet for small and medium businesses, students and a wide range of consumers that prefer Windows tablets. We understood that lots of tablet users need powerful and mobile computers run by Windows as they are familiar with the OS and business, educational and other applications that can only work under Windows," said Yuri Antoshkin, general manager, Prestigio EMEA.
Antoshkin added that having received a great deal of positive feedback on the first generation Windows tablet, Prestigio has decided to release an upgraded version of the Visconte, which is more powerful and has enhanced media functionality. "Our latest offering is the fastest Prestigio tablet PC we have," said is powered by the latest Intel Celeron Dual-Core 64-bit processor at up to 2.0 GHz for better processing power and graphic performance.
According to Prestigio, multitasking, working with connected devices and using various software and applications has become a quick and easy job with the tablets more powerful chipset.
As with its predecessor, the MultiPad Visconte 2 is remarkable for its display due to its 10-inch IPS display screen with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. The device has WiFi, 3G and Bluetooth 4.0 Smart for enhanced connectivity and runs Windows 8.1. The tablet provides access to a wide range of connected devices such as printers, scanners, cameras and a great number of other accessories.
The MultiPad Visconte 2 retails for AED999 and will be available in retail stores across the UAE at the end of this month.
