Taiwanese smartphone vendor HTC today announced a dual-SIM variant of its flagship HTC One (M8) handset available in the UAE market.

The HTC One (M8) dual SIM is aimed at managing two contracts in a single phone, appealing to holiday-makers, business travellers or those living abroad.

"Thanks to the HTC One (M8) dual SIM, everyone can use the best smartphone on the market for multiple mobile contracts," said Neeraj Seth, head of marketing, HTC MEA. "It means that when travelling, you don't have to leave our unrivalled HTC BoomSound speakers behind or settle for anything less than the ground-breaking UltraPixel Duo Camera."

The dual-SIM model carries all the hardware features of the M8 and includes HTC's customised Sense 6 interface and built-in support for Microsoft Exchange and Office as well as compatibility with other Microsoft applications including Office 365 and Lync instant messaging.

Also available out of the box are enterprise-style features such as on-board encryption, "secure" connectivity, "secure" password polices, remote data wiping and mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
