Oracle Social Cloud launches LinkedIn support
Support for professional network added to Social Relationship Management Platform
Oracle Social Cloud today announced LinkedIn support for its Social Relationship Management (SRM) platform.
Oracle Social Cloud also officially joined the LinkedIn Certified Company Page Partners Programme. Oracle lauded the addition of LinkedIn as an opportunity for the company to "better serve B2B companies" and others seeking a multichannel social strategy to reach LinkedIn's 300m-strong user base.
According to Investis figures cited by Oracle, LinkedIn accounts for 64% of all visits to corporate websites from social media sites. Oracle argues that LinkedIn is "an essential marketing platform for B2B businesses, as more than 3m companies have LinkedIn company pages".
Oracle Social has added publishing, engagement, workflow, automation, and analytics functions for the social network. Oracle SRM can now view and manage existing LinkedIn drafts, and schedule and publish LinkedIn Company Page and Showcase Page updates and manage authorisation of the pages. The SRM also support analytics, through page-level and post-level reports that include metrics such as number of likes and comments on a LinkedIn update.
"LinkedIn is an essential platform not just for B2B organisations, but also for companies needing a complete multiplatform social strategy," said Meg Bear, group vice president, Oracle Social Cloud. "This announcement strengthens our offering for B2B organisations, especially when coupled with our CX offerings like Oracle Eloqua. Our driving focus is to continue to deliver value and innovate so that Oracle SRM customers have distinct advantages to succeed in today's social world."
