ITP.net releases detailed view of how Gulf consumers interact with technology

ITP.net today unveiled the detailed results of a six-week survey conducted to find out how Gulf residents interact with technology.

The ITP.net e-Lifestyle Survey was run online during May and early June, asking questions about attitudes, habits and spending patterns surrounding all things tech.

With one of the world's largest smartphone penetration rates and one of the fastest growing technology sectors, the Gulf region's relationship with technology is all-pervading. ITP.net, in association with Channel Middle East, decided to run the survey to get a clearer picture of the shape of the sector, specifically with regard to how individual consumers live with tech in the home and elsewhere.

More than half the respondents (54%) were aged between 21 and 40 and split between 85% male and 15% female. Some 69% lived in the UAE, a further 12% in Saudi Arabia, with the rest spread evenly throughout other Gulf countries.
