GoCam lets users trigger photos or videos from a distance of up to 3 metres with just hand gestures.

Swedish company, Crunchfish has launched a camera app to enable people to take selfies without having to touch the screen.

GoCam works across all iOS7 devices and lets users trigger photos or videos from a distance of up to 3 metres with just hand gestures. It also features the ability to customise photos with high quality filters and editing tools.

"GoCam really brings a magic user experience to your device that opens up a new dimension of exploring photography. Even though a number of handset vendors globally are integrating our touchless software for different features into their devices, we wanted to develop GoCam in order to show the capabilities of gesture interaction also in the iOS environment. I am very happy with the outcome, said Joakim Nydemark, CEO."

Crunchfish say its app, which is the first on the market with touchless video recording, is part of its vision to bring touchless technology to the world. It is available in Sweden and Australia with more locations to follow.
