Lenovo launches S860 smartphone in UAE
New smartphone can recharge other devices and comes with dual SIM card slots
Mobile devices and PC maker Lenovo, has launched a new dual SIM smartphone, the Lenovo S860 range which is available at all major retailers in the UAE.
Encased in a brushed metal exterior with a large 5.3-inch HD screen, the S860 is targeted at professionals, said the company.
The new handset is said to feature standby time of up to 40 days and talk time of up to 24 hours on 3G connections, quad-core computing and 2GB RAM for responsive multitasking among applications.
According to Lenovo, the S860's high-capacity battery allows users to charge their other devices on-the goby using the micro USB cable.
The new S860 gives mobile professionals all-day productivity and combines sleek design elements with quad-core performance and new features such as longer battery life for an overall impressive mobile experience.
The new device complements Lenovo's existing portfolio of smartphones, offering consumers greater choices across multiple price points to fit both lifestyle and budget.
The S860 comes with Lenovo's range of DOit apps including the SHAREit feature, which users can use to instantly share pictures, videos, music files, documents, contacts and even apps with up to five devices without any Internet connection.
The phone is able to wirelessly transfer information or even the app itself between devices at up to 40x faster than Bluetooth.
On the security front, SECUREit optimises and protects users' mobile data with its menu of data-protection tools. With a single touch, SECUREit guards against viruses, spam and malware, and if the tablet becomes lost or stolen, anti-theft protection locks it down. SECUREit also acts as a privacy guard to protect against unwarranted access to users' private information and makes the tablet operate faster by taking actions such as closing redundant background apps.
The S860 runs Android KitKat OS and is retailing for AED 1,199 in the UAE.
