Gulf Air gets three IT ISO certifications

Airline qualifies for quality management, service management, information security management qualifications

Gulf Air has recently achieved three ISO certifications for its IT operations, including Quality Management, Service Management and Information Security Management Systems.

The airline, Bahrain's national carrier, is the first to qualify for all three certification in the region.

Following a comprehensive internal and external audit conducted by RINA Services, a leading classification society, Gulf Air was awarded the ISO 9001 Certification (Quality Management), ISO 20000 Certification (Service Management) and, for the second year in a row, the ISO 27001 Certification (Information Security Management System).

Maher Salman AlMusallam, acting chief executive officer of Gulf Air said: "Quality, service and security are three of the most important facets of customers' online experience. As such, Gulf Air continually strives to safeguard and enhance these three areas across the organisation - including our critical Information Technology component. We are delighted to achieve yet another ‘first' in our IT offering and pleased to be recognised for our team's work in further helping to achieve customer satisfaction."
