Solutions Forum roadshow showcases new solutions to resellers

Aptec has hosted its Solutions Forum for reseller partners in Kuwait, to update partners on the latest developments from its vendor partners.
The Solutions Forum, which was held at the Sheraton Hotel in Kuwait City, brought together more than 100 people from the reseller community, representing more than 70 IT reseller companies.
The event included sessions on technologies including big data, virtualisation, cloud computing, networking, servers and storage, enterprise software and advanced solutions.
Attendees were presented with product and technology updates from Aptec vendor partners Cisco, NetApp, Microsoft, Veeam and D-Link, and there were business-oriented networking opportunities between sessions.
Govind Haridas, Business Unit Manager, Solutions & Alliances, Aptec Ingram Micro, said during the event: "From being the leading Enterprise VAD in the market, Aptec Ingram is now focused on cementing its position as the top Solutions VAD in the MEA region. With the traditional distribution models continuing to feel the margin squeeze and the inevitable transition to the cloud underway in parallel, most VADs are now concentrating on differentiative value creation. Apart from being a one-stop shop for the reseller community they also need to be the extended arms of the vendors in the market. Aptec with its 30-plus vendors is now ideally placed on a goldmine of opportunity to address this solutions and services need."
Haridas continued: "Although a plethora of permutations and combinations are possible between various collaborative vendors, we have chosen the data centre, cloud computing, big data and unified communications platforms as the silos of focus. We have the products and services to address this entire spectrum."
Svetlana Sorokina, regional marketing manager, Aptec Ingram Micro, MEA & Turkey region, added: "We have launched this series of in-country Solutions roadshows with the objective to provide more business opportunities to our reseller partners working with us. Kuwait was the first of the series and we are happy that event was very well accepted by partners. We will have Qatar, Oman and Bahrain events to follow shortly."
