Videocon, Al Ansari Exchange partner
Tie up enables Indian expats to buy consumer electronics in UAE and get them delivered in India
Al Ansari Exchange, a UAE-based foreign exchange and worldwide money transfer company, has entered into a strategic partnership with Videocon, a consumer electronics, home appliances, mobiles and tablets vendor based in India.
Under the terms of the agreement, Indian expatriates living in the UAE can now buy Videocon's consumer electronics products in the UAE at prices of up to 30% lower than in India and make payment at any of the Al Ansari Exchange branches to get these delivered and installed free of cost back home.
The new deal between Al Ansari Exchange and Videocon will be immensely beneficial for the huge Indian population living in the UAE that has been affected by the recent changes in the Indian customs duty laws.
"Videocon has recently introduced its brand in the UAE as we consider it a key market for our long-term growth plans in the country. We have forayed into the region to offer more choice in electronics for the UAE consumers. Alongside, we have unveiled our online shopping portal Mybhst.com to extend the shopping convenience to the Indian community," said Abhishek Malpani, Global Online Business head, Videocon.
Malpani added: "Our partnership with Al Ansari Exchange is crucial in this regard, as this would enable Indians to buy the best-in-quality Videocon products and pay at any of the branches of Al Ansari Exchange in the UAE."
Rashed Ali Al Ansari, general manager, Al Ansari Exchange, said: "Our strategic partnership with Videocon could not have come at a better time as we have been seeing increased activity in remittances being sent from the UAE to India. In line with this, the tie-up represents a key step forward for both Al Ansari Exchange and Videocon's common goals of providing service excellence and value additions to its customers."
