Conference to shed light on emerging trends within the region's IT industry
The Arabian Computer News Enterprise Computing Summit 2014 kicked off this morning at the Ritz-Carlton DIFC, aiming to shed light on emerging trends within the Middle East's IT industry.
Featuring a series of panel discussions and presentations, the full-day conference will touch on subjects such as the new style of IT, the changing role of the CIO, and the ever-growing importance of cyber-security.
Speakers at the conference include some of the most widely respected analysts and end users in the region. Coming from industries as diverse as hospitality and government to aviation and banking, the speakers today promise to provide an in-depth view into the state of IT in the Middle East today.
"With the Middle East IT industry, in line with the industry in the rest of the world, we're seeing a rapid change. There are more technologies being released now than at any other time in IT's short history," said Mark Sutton, senior group editor at ITP Technology and editor of Arabian Computer News.
"With this in mind, today's event is intended to provide a quorum for users to discuss these technologies, and how people have been deploying these technologies."
