StorIT, Quantum host seminars for partners
Distributor moves to raise awareness around vendor’s storage offerings
StorIT, a data storage specialist VAD in partnership with Quantum, recently held the ‘Quantum Backup Workshops' for partners and customers in Dubai and Riyadh.
StorIT said the seminars, which covered product presentations on Quantum's traditional tape library and disk appliance solutions, promoted the benefits of regional channel partners joining Quantum's Alliance Partner Programme.
"StorIT held joint workshops with Quantum in Dubai and Riyadh, which were a huge success with more than 30 channel partners and customers attending the event in both cities," said Mohammed Abdul Hadi, channel account manager, StorIT Distribution.
Hadi said channel partners that attended the workshops gave positive and encouraging feedback. "Looking at the response we received from the events in UAE and Saudi, we have decided to hold similar workshops in other countries in the region as well," he said.
Andrew Childs, regional Sales Manager at Quantum, added that: "Quantum is moving its attention from traditional data protection using tape libraries to a broader solution set covering a wider application layer, including data de-duplication, replication and object storage, to provide greater availability using dedicated storage platforms, and alternatively cloud environments, public, private or hybrid. These workshops were an ideal platform for us to present our solutions to a niche audience while also explaining our channel initiatives and Alliance Partner Programme to our channel."
The company said Quantum Alliance Partner Programme is dedicated to helping resellers and distributors to increase their sales of Quantum's tape libraries, autoloaders, disk-based backup systems, drives and media products.
