DST extols inaugural Big Data Analytics seminar
More than 100 customers and partners attended the event
Data Science Technologies (DST), a subsidiary of StorIT Distribution has revealed that the inaugural seminar on Big Data Analytics was a success and saw more than 100 customers and partners.
According to DST, the seminar was held as part of its channel expansion drive to onboard and train more channel partners to enhance their capabilities in order to address customer requirements appropriately.
The company said it will regularly hold trainings, certifications and skills development programmes to enable the channel to offer big data consultancy and implementation services.
"DST was launched recently and our objective of holding the seminar was to educate customers on the benefits of big data analytics while offering them a complete insight into harnessing their structured and unstructured data and how they could optimise this data to grow their business further," said Boby Joseph, Big Data Practice - head at DST.
Joseph added that: "The company also wanted to introduce SAS's products in analytics to our partner community in the UAE. We did not expect such a huge turnout of systems integrators, resellers, VARs and IT managers from different verticals, which was more than double our expectations. The feedback we received from the participants was great and we look forward to holding more such events in the coming months."
Technology experts from SAS gave an overview of their solutions and demonstrated how SAS Visual Analytics with the right tools and services could add value to customers' businesses and existing data.
