Regional IT security solutions value-added distributor (VAD) Comguard has launched two new channel programmes aimed at incentivising reseller organisations and their staff.

Dubbed 'Comguard Channel Accelerate' and 'Comguard Commit', the two new channel programmes will offer rewards to companies and individuals respectively.

According to the distributor, reseller organisations will be rewarded for committing to growing their investments and business with Comguard.

Delivering a keynote address to 250 channel partners at the Tech Convegence 2014 partner conference, Ajay Singh Chauhan, CEO at Spectrum Group, said the two programmes will initially be implemented in the Middle East before extending the initiative to North Africa and India.

Chauhan said the programmes will evaluate channel partners and their staff members on a points tally system from a range of activities they do with Comguard.

He explained that reseller companies will be evaluated on carrying multiple products, proof of concept (PoC)/demo placements, account mapping, training and certification, deal size and product revenues in dollars. "In all these activities, staff of employee will also be recognised and rewarded for their efforts in taking the business forward," he said. "Unlike other programmes that only give recognition to companies, we have decided to incentivise both the company and employees."

Chauhan is upbeat that the two programmes will help to raise skills levels, business and growth that Comguard is doing with all its channel partners in the Middle East region. "We have created a dedicated partner partner where companies and individuals will have to register and join the programme with full details on how it works," he said.

He sadded that the programmes will be headed by Pournami Nair, strategic alliance and QC manager at Spectrum Group.

He explained that reseller firms will be able to redeem points for marketing activities, advertising and public relations campaigns, vouchers for demo equipment, free conference attendance and credit notes.

For individuals, Chauhan said they will be able to redeem points for sales travel incentives, air/shopping vouchers, training and certification programmes, hotel/ground transportation vouchers.

Tanveer Ahmed, business development manager, Customised Software Division, at ICT Information Systems LLC, the company is delighted to attend this year's conference and is looking forward to engaging Comguard on a range on solutions they take to market. "As a partner, we depend on the solutions they supply to the channel and having a programme that rewards companies and individuals will motivate us to aim higher," he said.

Ahmed said the company is using this year's participation at Tech Convegence 2014 to promote its software solutions and meet other partners from the MENA region.
