VAD company, EMT Distribution, today announced that it successfully concluded a training programme on vulnerability intelligence and security.

The one day training session was held in association with Secunia at the Microsoft Technology Centre in the Microsoft Office in Dubai Media City and covered product demos, installation processes, sample network scanning, patch deployment scenarios, and common troubleshooting.

Speaking about the training program, Nandini Sapru, the Sales Director at EMT Distribution, said, "The event was meant for partners, resellers and value-added resellers, who are interested in getting more in-depth knowledge about Secunia and its offerings. The training event brought together partners from all over the Middle East and focused on hands-on product demos to ensure that the channel is effectively trained to match and exceed customer requirements, when it comes to vulnerability intelligence and security."

According to Sapru, many enterprise level clients are looking to procure vulnerability management and patch deployment products in the near future. "We are seeing much interest that has been generated in the past six months through web download, response to surveys and feedback from independent third party market researchers. To meet this demand we are equipping the channel with sufficient training," concluded Sapru.

Secunia and EMT Distribution are also said to be developing a certification program to ensure that trained partners are able to consolidate and further develop their skillsets in the field of vulnerability detection and patch management. Post event, EMT Distribution will ensure that trained personnel in the channel are able to meet customers and develop their interest in the product.
