SANS institute has announced a Security Essentials Bootcamp to be held in Bahrain.

The SEC401, Security Essentials Bootcamp is described as an intensive, six-day course that teaches the essential skills and techniques needed to protect and secure an organisation's critical information assets and business systems.

Ted Demopoulos, the course leader said: "I first took SANS Security Essentials in 2000 after I had been working in security for over a decade, and wondered what I'd learn. I was simply amazed and learned far more than I ever could have expected. Since then, the class has got even better, and I'm proud to teach it".

The course is a public course open to registrations from all organisations and nationalities. Bahraini nationals can apply for funding for this course via the Tamkeen Professional Certifications Scheme (TPCS).

SEC401 will take place in Manama's Sheraton Bahrain Hotel from 17 to 22 May, 2014.
